New brake pads installation

When You Need New Pads

Brake pads are the wear items that create the friction needed to stop your vehicle. Over time, the friction material wears down—typically between 30,000 and 70,000 miles depending on your driving style and the type of pads originally installed.

When your pads get too thin, your stopping distance increases, your brakes may squeal or grind, and you risk damage to more expensive components like rotors. We recommend inspection at every oil change to catch wear before it becomes a safety issue.

$149 & Up Per Axle

Includes premium pads, inspection, and road test. Tax and parts extra. Heavy-duty vehicles may be higher.

Our Process

How We Replace Pads

Thorough, precise work every time—no shortcuts.

1

Inspection First

We measure pad thickness, check rotor condition, and inspect calipers, hardware, and hoses before recommending work.

2

Wheel Removal

We carefully remove wheels and inspect mounting surfaces. Rust and corrosion are cleaned before reassembly.

3

Precision Installation

New pads are installed with new hardware. Calipers are serviced and lubricated. Everything torqued to spec.

4

Road Test

We test braking performance on a test drive to ensure everything works perfectly before you drive away.

Warning Signs

Does Your Vehicle Need Service?

Don't ignore these signals from your braking system.

Sounds to Listen For

  • 🔊 Squealing or squeaking — High-pitched noise usually indicates wear indicators touching the rotor
  • ⚙️ Grinding — Metal-on-metal means pads are completely worn and rotors may be damaged
  • 💥 Clicking or rattling — Loose or broken hardware needs attention

Feelings to Notice

  • 🦶 Soft or spongy pedal — Could indicate air in system or fluid issues
  • 〰️ Pedal pulsation — Warped rotors often cause this vibration through the pedal
  • ↔️ Vehicle pulling — One caliper sticking causes the car to drift left or right
FAQ

Common Questions

Most brake pads last between 30,000 and 70,000 miles. Actual lifespan depends on your driving habits, vehicle type, and brake pad material. City driving with frequent stops wears pads faster than highway cruising.
We recommend replacing pads in sets of four (both sides of an axle) for even braking. Mixing old and new pads can cause uneven wear, vibration, and reduced stopping ability.
If rotors are still within specification (not warped or excessively worn), resurfacing or replacement isn't required. However, if rotors show grooves or heat damage, they should be addressed to ensure optimal pad performance.
